SIEC was founded on 1st July 1984 with the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Trade &　Economic Cooperation and the People’s Government of Shanghai Municipality as the first state-owned enterprise specialized in international exhibition, which is the subordinate enterprise of CCPIT Shanghai Sub-Council. Since its founding, SIEC has held 500 international exhibitions of various themes in China and has created a number of well-known and influential exhibition brands. SIEC is a full member of Union des Foires International (UFI). Die & Mould China, Auto Shanghai and China Interdye are the approved events of UFI. The five of its shows, Auto Shanghai, Shanghaitex, China Cycle, Fashion Shanghai and China Elecomm are among the first eight exhibitions awarded as High Quality Trade Show by the Evaluation Committee of Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Industries. The affiliated organizations of SIEC providing a comprehensive exhibition services including freight forwarding, venue management, booth fitting, advertisement, trade liaison and etc.
