Event of the Global Wine Making Industry
Boasting a history of almost 40 years, Vinitaly is the most prestigious annual gathering of the global wine making industry.
Over a show area of 80,050 square metres net, Vinitaly 2006 (the 40th edition of the event) sees active participation of 4104 exhibitors, from 31 countries. 140,000 trade visitors come from 93 countries to visit the grand event, 30,000 of which are overseas visitors.
History of Vinitaly:
1967: The Italian Wine Days was hosted at the Palazzo della Goan Guardia, Verona on September 22nd ¨C23rd. This was the inertial ¡°baptism¡± of Vinitaly.
1971: The event evolved into Vinitaly- Wine Exhibition: a full-scale trade exhibition. Vinitaly coupled with the 1st exhibition of machinery, equipment and products for oenology (now Enolitech) and the edition of the DOC wines Catalogue Exhibition.
1978: Vinitaly was awarded the qualification as an ¡°International¡± exhibition and thus attracted participation of companies from outside Italy.
2006: On the occasion of the 40th anniversary, the Vinitaly in unprecedented scale fascinated 4104 exhibitors all over the world and visitor flow 140000 times coming from 93 countries with a floor space of 80050 ©O.
Vintaly China:
The Veronafiere launched the debut of Vinitaly in China (Shanghai) 1998. This event has now become an annual and regular event
At present, Vinitaly China is of the most characteristic and international wine exhibition with high professionalism in China
A series of relative functions hosted by renowned specialists both at home and abroad
Vinitaly China puts itself at service of all personages regarding wine industry: oenologists Italian international buyers, importers & exporters, distributors, correspondents and wine enthusiast, etc.
