SIEC held a mobilization meeting on October 24, 12 days before the first China International Import Expo (CIIE). Gu Chunting, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Shanghai, and the leaders, middle management and project teams for the expo from SIEC presented at this meeting, and Shanghai Intex Exhibition, Shanghai Exportrans and Syma also sent their representatives to attend this meeting. Wang Lei, Executive Vice President of SIEC hosted the meeting.

Li Zhengwei, Vice-President of SIEC firstly delivered a speech on behalf of Secretariat of the CIIE Leading Coordination Group of CCPIT Shanghai at the mobilization meeting. He reviewed several important tasks about CIIE that CCPIT Shanghai and SIEC has carried out for over a year. Lu Yang, the General Manager Assistant, reported the exhibition promotion of SIEC for Auto Exhibition Area of the expo as one of the first six exhibition organizers and their current plans on exhibitor service and field service. Huang Bingwen, Director of the Information Center reported the details of a series of information construction for the expo, including the construction and development of comprehensive portal and ten business systems, the news release on official websites and Weibo accounts, the development of APP, etc. Other companies attended the meeting also made their own reports.

Gu Chunting, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Shanghai, mobilized organization of the first CIIE. As a comprehensive expo highly valued by the state and unprecedentedly dominated by imported goods, CIIE reflects the transformation of the global economic and trade background and further demonstrates China’s determination to ceaselessly reform and open up to the world. The first CIIE presents a great challenge to all the frontline staff of Shanghai SIEC as all people involved in the preparation for the expo are required to pay full attention to their work, improve their professional level and deliver proper service management. Besides, they are required to take the initiative and spare no effort to carry on the on-site implementation work during the expo.
